Learn how you can make your own mini tray for your tarot and oracle decks

I was in need of something to hold my tarot and oracle decks. I also wanted them to be on my desk and not in a box. That way I can see my cards and grab the deck I want to work with. I don’t have many decks but I do have a few to choose from when I do my divination. Since I wanted them to be displayed on my desk, I need something that was small. I didn’t want a shelf because I already had one for my crystals and oils.

I was strolling on TikTok and saw this video that shows how to make a small tiered tray. I thought this would be prefect and no big deal if it doesn’t work out. I was able to get everything from Dollar Tree which was a plus. I working on a budget here. I spent around $10 for all the supplies. I did have a hot glue gun and hot glue sticks already so I didn’t need to purchase that. I also got my paint from Walmart since Dollar Tree didn’t have the paint or wood stain I wanted.

Let’s get started on how you can make your own tarot deck tray!

What you’ll need

  1. Wooden Trays (3)
  2. Wooden Arrows (2). I got the ones that had the straight ends.
  3. Paint or Wood Stain
  4. Paint Brushes or Sponges
  5. Wood Glue or Hot Glue and Gun

How To
  1. Paint your wood pieces and let dry.
  2. Figure out how you want your trays to be placed on your arrows. I used a pencil to mark off my placement. I centered the arrows to my trays. I also used a clip to help me with keeping the points centered to my top tray.
  3. Glue your trays to your arrow. Use your marks to place your trays. I would suggest start from the top. It will make it much easier to put it all together.

Once your glue is all dry, you’re ready to use your tiered tray how you want. I did use hot glue like I stated above and so far it has held up. I have three decks in the middle tray and it hasn’t came down. I think since the wood is so thin that the hot glue was able to adhere well. I also used a lot of hot glue too.

I’m a very crafty person and I love to find things to make that is affordable. Since I have two small children, I can’t spend a lot of money on crafts like I use too. So, having a Dollar Tree store that sells craft supplies is amazing. I know every store is different but I find like they should have craft supplies in all of the Dollar Tress.
