So you want to become a witch? Great! You're in the right place. But where do you start?
I'm here to tell you that becoming a witch doesn’t have to be some big, complicated, expensive process.
You don’t have to get initiated into a pagan or Wiccan religion to become a witch. You don’t have to study for years and years before you can cast your first spell. You don’t have to go out and buy a cauldron and a million different kinds of incense. You don’t have to join a coven and spend every full moon dancing naked in the forests.
I mean, you can if you want to, but none of those things are requirements to becoming a witch.
All you have to do is CHOOSE to become a witch. Seriously—that’s it. No experience necessary. It doesn’t matter who you are, how your family raised you, or what you believe.
Modern secular witchcraft offers witches an incredibly simple, fun, and easy way to perform powerful magic. That’s what you’ll learn in this easy-to-understand, totally approachable introductory guide to becoming a witch.
In this book, the author goes into detail about a few common witch terms used and traditions witches celebrate. She also goes into detail about sympathetic magic and walks you through a few simple spells. She also speaks on what you can do if your spell doesn’t work. This book is a very slim starting point for becoming a witch. This book does give some good information but witchcraft isn’t all about casting spells and manifesting things. This is what this book, to me, feels like it’s stating. Witchcraft isn’t just about spell casting. It’s about learning yourself and becoming one with your higher power. To do that, you have to do more then just manifesting and casting spells.
I’ll have to rate this book a 3. I really was hoping for more and that’s not what I got. This can’t be how you become a witch because in reality, you’re already a witch. But know that casting spells isn’t all what being a witch or witchcraft is. It’s a lifestyle that you chose to make for yourself. Is it a good starting point to use on how to manifest and set your intuition for spell work, sure but doing your own research is too. I would advise to read books that will have more information about witches and witchcraft. You need to know the basics of witchcraft before you start anything. I also think that this book should have a different name than what it does but that’s just me.
